Assisted Self Check Out
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
- Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
- Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions
- Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s
Customer Service
- Provides excellent customer service through the execution of Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects when needed
- Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicates product information, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs
- Coaches, develops, trains, and provides feedback to associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
- Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds following company guidelines
- Provides proper monetary change for register activities
- Supervises, coaches, and supports the Front End Team (Front End/Loaders)
- Removes security tags, verifies product info, and bags merchandise for customers
- Answers and directs phone calls as needed
- Opens additional registers when necessary to ensure adequate coverage
- Assists in line vesting to facilitate quicker checkout
In-stock
- Prepares register area at shift start/end, checking functionality and stocking supplies
- Inspects returned merchandise for damages
- Enters customer orders, prints tickets, verifies receipts, and signs loading tickets
- Reviews and processes online orders and returns
- Looks up product info and prices for price matching
- Records store use items in the appropriate lists
Clean and Safe Stores
- Monitors cash in drawers and obtains safety bags from the cash office
- Monitors store entrances/exits and assists with security alarms
- Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, reporting promptly
- Maintains store cleanliness and organization, ensuring safety standards
- Operates store equipment as needed (e.g., Zebra phone, CCTV, etc.)
General
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience with computer use (inputting, accessing, modifying, outputting information)
- Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology (smartphones, tablets)
- 1-2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in product sales, including credit, warranties, and add-ons
- 1-2 years of experience as a head cashier
- 1-2 years in any Lowe’s department
- 1-2 years supervisory experience
- Experience in shoplifting detection (less than 1 year)
