Schedule features two 8-hour shifts per week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with Tuesday and Friday preferred but flexible. Requires Master’s degree in PT/OT, valid state licensure, and 5+ years of experience; CHT preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in PT or OT from an accredited program.
• Active, valid state OT/PT licensure.
• CHT preferred; OT/PT with hand experience actively pursuing CHT will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of hand therapy experience.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides hand therapy services in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic.
• Fabricates static and dynamic splints/orthoses.
• Evaluates, treats, and sets goals for patients across ages.
• Documents progress and adjusts treatment plans.

Tuesday and Friday preferred but we are flexible!**Job Summary:**The Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on treating and splinting hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent, adult and geriatric orthopedic population.**Key Accountabilities:**Patient visits per week must be at least 60 for 40 hour week. Visits per week are prorated by actual expected hours worked. Additional Job-Specific Metrics can be found on the Annual Performance Appraisal adopted for this role.**Essential Duties:*** Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic, including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics.* Provides evaluations, treatments, and goal setting for patients.* Performs custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints/orthoses.* Evaluates and documents patients' progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits.* Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members to optimize patients' care plans.* Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities.* Participates in staff in-services, monthly rounds and research.* Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements.* Engages in hand therapist duties in a timely, empathetic manner with patients that maximizes patient understanding and adherence to therapy programs.* Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.**Qualifications:*** Masters degree and successful completion of an accredited PT or OT school required* Must have active, valid state OT/PT licensure* CHT preferred; OT/PT with hand experience actively working towards CHT will be considered* 5+ years of experience minimum required* Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office**Pay Range:*** $33.25 to $55.00 per hour**Our Commitment to Employees:**Come work at Rothman Orthopaedics!
