Job summary

The Beacon, a Day Resource Center for people experiencing homelessness, operated by Catholic Charities in Madison, WI, has an immediate opening for a part-time Guest Services Specialist. You will serve as the primary link between guests and the services they need, helping with check-ins, intakes, and referrals.

We offer $21.15/hour, a $500 unlimited Employee Referral bonus, short-term disability, 403(b) with company match after one year, PTO, holidays, and a supportive, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Friendly, welcoming, empathetic and strong listening/communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow program policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service to create a welcoming environment.
• Monitor check-in processes, verify eligibility, and sign-in daily.
• Conduct new guest intake and orient guests to services offered.
• Respond to guest needs and refer to resources in the community.
• Maintain records and support trauma-informed care approaches.
