Job summary

Boll Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor to lead safe, engaging group classes in a welcoming environment, serving all fitness levels. You will deliver programs under Elite Group Exercise, covering strength, stability, and balance training, while promoting a positive YMCA mission.

The role requires CPR/First Aid/AED and national personal training certification, plus YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR/First Aid/AED and national personal training certification.
• 1 year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.
• Strong knowledge of exercise science, movement coaching, and movement competency.
• Completion of YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed, to accomplish YMCA mission and goals.
• Asks and answers questions within their scope of knowledge from participants and members.
• Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
• Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants' capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture.
• Performs other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor.
