Job summary

Philadelphia Union is seeking a Part-Time Grounds Mechanic to keep turf equipment, golf carts, and utility vehicles in peak condition across Subaru Park and the WSFS Bank Sportsplex. This hands-on role partners with the Director of Turf Management to ensure safe, reliable gear for matches, training, and events.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and assist with part stocking and shop organization.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining turf and grounds equipment.
• Knowledge of small engines, diesel engines, hydraulics.
• Familiarity with Jacobsen cutting units reel/bedknife.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Technical or vocational training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on turf equipment.
• Inspect equipment and maintain maintenance logs.
• Prepare equipment for daily field operations and events.
• Operate turf equipment safely during matches and practices.
• Support shop with parts receiving and inventory.
