Job summary

City of Fairhope (AL) is seeking a part-time Golf Cart Attendant to support golf operations at Quail Creek Golf Course. The role involves staging, cleaning, and maintenance of the golf cart fleet, plus range and restroom duties, sand duties, and trash collection.

Primarily afternoons with some weekend coverage; safety-sensitive position subject to background checks and drug screenings. The incumbent will assist various course staff, manage cart staging, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one (1) year previous work experience at a golf course.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Ability to work non-standard work hours.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and an initial drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Stages, cleans, maintains, and drives golf carts to provide ample availability of carts for patrons.
• Provides minor maintenance on golf carts including tire pressure checks.
• Communicates with staff via radio to relay safety issues.
• Drives carts to various locations on the course in a safe manner.
• Assists golf shop staff and course maintenance staff to support operations.
• Returns lost and found items to the golf shop.
• Locks the facility and secures it at shift end.
