Job summary

Scheels Great Falls is seeking a part-time sales associate to greet customers, assist with product selection, and promote Scheels Visa and loyalty programs. The role focuses on delivering a personalized WOW experience and supporting store operations.

You will maintain merchandising standards, assist with stock, and participate in store trainings. Requires a HS diploma or GED and 1–3 months of sales experience; approximately 20 hours weekly with some evenings/weekends.

Compensation/Scheduling:

Compensation $17.00-$19.00 hourly DOE. Listed compensation is based on a combination of a base hourly wage and estimated commission potential. Day-time or evening availability required (to include two weekends per month). Average 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
  • Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience
  • Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing
  • Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking
  • Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
  • Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings
  • Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise
  • Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400
  • Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
