Job summary

ProtaGene is seeking a Part-time Laboratory Director to oversee two CLIA high-complexity laboratories in Burlington, MA, USA and Heidelberg, Germany. This role requires regulatory expertise and independent clinical authority.

You will review methods, validate changes, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state requirements. Travel to sites is required; two annual visits to each location are reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Qualified to serve as Clinical Laboratory Director for two CLIA laboratories performing high-complexity testing.
• Pathology board certification or doctoral degree with board certification pathway.
• At least two years directing high-complexity testing in the relevant specialty.

Responsibilities

• Act as Part-time/Consultant Laboratory Director for two CLIA labs with on-site oversight.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state requirements across locations.
• Review test methods, validation activities, and reporting formats.
• Oversee staff competency and delegated responsibilities.
• Travel to Burlington, MA and Heidelberg as required.
