Job summary

Wendel seeks a part-time GIS Analyst to support enterprise geospatial infrastructure from our Albany area office. The role focuses on ArcGIS Enterprise administration, REST service publishing, and cloud-hosted GIS solutions across disciplines.

The candidate will collaborate with the GIS Manager, Developers, and Project Managers to deliver web mapping applications, data workflows, and spatial analyses, including field data integration and CAD data conversion.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Geography, GIS, or related field.
3+ years of professional GIS experience.
ArcGIS Enterprise administration experience (Portal, Server, Data Store).
Experience working with GIS infrastructure in virtualized server environments.
Proficient in Python scripting with ArcPy for automation of publishing workflows.
Strong REST API knowledge and troubleshooting service endpoints.
Experience with coordinate systems and spatial reference management at an enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

Administer ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal for ArcGIS, Data Store) within virtualized server environments
Publish and maintain hosted feature layers via ArcGIS Enterprise Portal
Build web mapping apps with ArcGIS Experience Builder, Web AppBuilder
Convert and integrate GIS data to/from CAD formats and perform advanced spatial analysis
Manage mobile field data collection workflows with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123
Support the GIS Developer with SQL database administration to automate workflows
Conduct client training on web applications, GPS collection, and enterprise GIS workflows for internal and external stakeholders
