Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in German; or master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate‑level course hours in German
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
• Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
• Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Responsibilities

• Teaches a full range of courses in German language, literature and culture
• Prepares and delivers learning activities to achieve course outcomes
• Prepares syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
• Evaluates and grades students’ work and exams
• Maintains attendance records and grades by deadlines
• Be available to students for coaching
• Participates in periodic meetings with supervisors and College teams
