Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to conduct objective assessments and craft individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients and rehab staff under Therapy Leadership, ensuring care aligns with Mercy standards.

Qualifications include a PT degree (DPT/MS/BS+licensure), current state license, BLS certification, and 6–12 months of rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary license to practice Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification. Current certifications must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• Experience with care for adult and geriatric patients preferred.
• Physical requirements: ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist and squat.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants where applicable.
• Work under general supervision of Therapy Leadership and adhere to Mercy mission and service standards.
