Qualifications

• Master’s in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, oceanography or paleontology OR bachelor’s in geology AND master’s in geography, physics, or geochemistry; OR the equivalent.
• All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by time of hire.
• Degree titles must match stated qualifications exactly; equivalency process may be required.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes under supervision of the area dean.
• Help students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content.
• Assess student learning outcomes and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge in the teaching field.
• Engage in continuing professional development and use current technology in job duties.
• Assist with articulation, curriculum development and review; serve on college committees.
• Participate in faculty governance including accreditation and student co‑curricular activities.
• Fulfilling other duties assigned by the area dean.

Education

Master’s in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, oceanography or paleontology

Bachelor’s in geology AND master’s in geography, physics, or geochemistry
