Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to help keep shelves stocked and maintain a clean, organized store environment. You’ll provide friendly service, assist customers, and support merchandising efforts to ensure a great shopping experience.

You will work in a team, learn on the job, and may be scheduled for overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead. This role emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and hands-on participation in daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Able to stay organized and follow procedures.

• Capable of physical tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of grocery products.
• Move products from pallets or carts to shelves efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in backroom areas.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete assigned areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide courteous interactions with customers as needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks to keep store operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your workensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You'll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
