Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our network of clinicians in a flexible, part‑time, fully remote role supporting an outpatient pediatric feeding program. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in pediatric nutrition, RD/RDN credential, and strong caregiver communication skills; duties include assessments, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Approx. 5 hours per week with compensation of $32–$38 per hour, and monthly team meeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential required.
• Experience in pediatric nutrition, outpatient counseling or feeding care preferred.
• Familiarity with autism, food selectivity, sensory feeding challenges preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with family-centered approach.
• Proficient with EMRs and telehealth platforms.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
• Availability for monthly Wednesday team meeting.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments via caregiver interviews and records.
• Evaluate dietary intake, meals, and nutrient gaps for pediatrics.
• Develop individualized nutrition plans considering sensory preferences and routines.
• Provide education and counseling to parents/caregivers.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, SLPs and medical staff.
• Monitor progress and adjust recommendations with team input.
• Maintain timely EMR documentation and participate in meetings.
• Perform other duties within professional scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments through caregiver interviews, food log reviews, and available clinical information.
• Evaluate dietary intake, food variety, meal patterns, and potential nutritional gaps.
• Develop individualized nutrition recommendations that consider sensory preferences, accepted foods, and family routines.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling directly to parents and caregivers to support implementation of recommendations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and medical providers, to support coordinated feeding care.
• Monitor progress and adjust nutrition recommendations based on caregiver feedback and team input.
• Maintain thorough and timely electronic medical record documentation.
• Participate in monthly interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned and within professional scope of practice.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
• Experience in pediatric nutrition, outpatient counseling, or feeding-related nutrition care preferred.
• Familiarity with autism, food selectivity, and sensory-related feeding challenges preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a family-centered approach to nutrition care.
• Ability to translate nutrition assessments into practical recommendations for caregivers and the care team.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and telehealth platforms.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
• Availability to participate in a monthly Wednesday team meeting.
