Job summary

Northgate Gonzalez Market in Southern California is seeking a Seasonal Courtesy Clerk for Store #36 on a part-time basis. You will greet customers, help bag groceries, provide carry-out service and assist with stock and front-end upkeep.

This role requires friendly, reliable service, basic arithmetic for transactions, and compliance with store policies, safety and health rules. An associate discount of up to 20% is available for you and your household.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not absolutely required.
• Must have and be able to present a valid work permit if under 18.
• Be able to perform arithmetical calculations for sales and to extend column totals on in-store usage.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand English for operating electronics and handbooks.
• Punctual and reliable attendance per store policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases and carry-out service.
• Bag items and provide carry-out service; load into customers' vehicles as needed.
• Maintain front-end cleanliness and assist in stock returns and price checks.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Ensure store safety, sanitation, and compliance with policies.
