Job summary

Allied Universal, Arden, NC, is seeking a part-time Security Officer for lobby reception. You will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support a secure, professional environment in a utilities setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a front desk location within a utilities environment while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges as applicable, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests to appropriate contacts or areas.
• Answer incoming calls, manage front desk communications, and provide clear information regarding site access requirements, visitor procedures, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and other security-related documentation, and report unusual activity, policy concerns, or access issues to site leadership.
