Job Description

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll handle transactions, offer local insights, and anticipate guests’ needs. You’ll create a warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home.

  1. Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
  2. Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
  3. Manage guest bookings, upselling opportunities, and inform guests about ways to enhance their stay.
  4. Handle cash and credit transactions.
  5. Check guests in and out swiftly, taking IDs, handing out room keys, and managing safety deposit boxes.
  6. Record and act on guest preferences; handle messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
  7. Assist guests with billing issues and provide local knowledge; involve management when necessary.
  8. Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear protective gear as needed.
  9. Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
  10. Stay informed about daily events and activities.
  11. Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Availability for 24/7 shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle guest concerns and compliments.
  • Problem-solving skills to turn issues into positive experiences.
  • Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, basic math, and computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not required.
  • At least one year of experience in front desk or guest service roles is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs (23 kg) and perform related tasks.
