Job summary

Trinity Services Group seeks a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff in an on-site Colorado correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of meals following menus and recipes, using kitchen utensils and equipment.

You will report to a Food Service Director and work on-site inside a jail/correctional facility. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (18+ years old) and may have prior institutional food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Experience supervising inmate labor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to schedule and procedures.
• Prepare food using utensils and recipes; portion meals to meet dietary needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menus portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
