Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Food Service Utility for Ballad Health – Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. This part-time role is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include maintaining clean kitchen areas, washing surfaces, and assisting with setup.

Previous food service experience is a plus. Pay is $13.25 per hour. Applications are accepted online; background check and drug screening are required after offer.

Responsibilities

• Maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.
• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and disposes of it properly.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Delivers supplies and equipment as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
