Job summary

Meriwether Godsey, Inc. is hiring a Part-time Food Service Associate in Richmond, VA. The position runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. You will greet customers, operate registers and terminals, and assist in food service and sanitation tasks.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of related food service experience, excellent communication, and reliable transportation. This role offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in a school dining setting.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check.
• 1-2 years of related food service experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to switch between locations and duties.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Operate registers, scanners, scales, and card terminals efficiently while handling exchanges.
• Transport food and supplies to serving area and assist in setup, maintenance, and breakdown.
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables.
• Assist in preparing hot and/or cold foods and store properly.
• Keep dining room and kitchen areas neat and organized.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by following daily/weekly cleaning tasks.
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.
