Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a friendly Food Server for the Charter 18 Modern Tavern on a part-time basis. This role involves taking and delivering food and beverage orders, greeting guests, and balancing trays in a fast-paced dining environment.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of service experience, be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and use a guest check system. English communication and good customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of food and beverage service experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Utilize computer system for placing food and beverage orders and processing payments.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and serve food and beverage orders from guests.
• May collect payment and make change for guest checks.
• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Receive and process orders from guests using a computerized guest check system.
• Retrieve prepared orders from kitchen and deliver to guests.
• Carry and balance trays or push cart of food and beverages through dining area.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining room.
• Present check to guest and collect payment or deliver to cashier.
