Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service in our Fresh departments and maintain inviting product displays. You will engage with customers, share product knowledge, and ensure accuracy in stocking and merchandising.

Ideal candidates are energetic, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a willingness to learn technology used in daily tasks and follow safety procedures. Experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering friendly, product knowledge-based service.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and standards.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
