Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex for a technology company in San Jose, CA. This part-time, flexible schedule role offers varied shifts and a chance to gain experience across multiple sites.

You’ll patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and support customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18+ (21 for armed), and pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable security experience.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if operating company or client vehicles.
• Background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if armed).
• Reliable and adaptable to different posts and schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or notify police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of rules and monitor entrances and exits.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor access points.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; maintain written incident logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site orders.
