Job summary

Abernathy Home Care in the Boston North area is hiring a part-time RN or LPN to provide field-based supervisory visits and client assessments for home care clients in Everett, MA and nearby communities.

The role offers approximately 20 hours per week with weekday mornings (7:00–11:00 or 8:00–12:00). No evenings or weekends, independent work with strong team support.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Home care experience preferred, but not required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• ASAP/community-based care experience strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable working independently in the field.
• Must be comfortable with frequent walking throughout the workday.
• Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel to client homes throughout Everett and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

• Complete in-home supervisory visits for HHA/PCA caregivers.
• Conduct client assessments and reassessments.
• Ensure compliance with ASAP program requirements.
• Monitor client conditions and report changes as appropriate.
• Communicate with ASAP case managers, clients, families, caregivers, and the Abernathy team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Help ensure clients receive safe, appropriate, and high-quality care in their homes.

Part-Time Field RN/LPN – Home Care

$45–$50/Hour | Monday–Friday | 20 Hours/Week | No Weekends

Abernathy Home Care is hiring a part-time RN or LPN to support clients in Everett, MA and surrounding communities.

This is a field-based nursing position focused on supervisory visits, client assessments, and ongoing support for individuals receiving community-based home care services.

The schedule is approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the option to work 7:00 AM–11:00 AM or 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Abernathy Home Care has proudly served the Boston North community for over 30 years, specializing in ASAP (Aging Services Access Point) community-based care.

Our services support seniors and adults living independently in their homes through state-funded programs. We work closely with ASAP case managers, caregivers, clients, and families to provide safe, compliant, and high-quality care.

About the Role

As a Part-Time Field RN/LPN, you will travel to client homes throughout Everett and surrounding communities to complete supervisory visits, assessments, reassessments, and other nursing responsibilities related to our home care programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking for a consistent weekday morning schedule and approximately 20 hours per week.

Home care experience supporting ASAP community-based clients is preferred, but we also welcome nurses who are interested in transitioning into home care.

Compensation & Schedule

• $45–$50 per hour, based on experience

• Approximately 20 hours per week

• Monday through Friday

• 7:00 AM–11:00 AM OR 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

• Willingness to travel to client homes throughout Everett and surrounding communities

• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills

• Bilingual Spanish or Creole preferred, but not required
