Job summary

National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) seeks dependable individuals for part-time field enumeration. You will interview agricultural producers by phone and in person, collect data on crops and farming operations, and conduct crop counts in assigned fields, using a company device.

Trainings are paid, and there is flexible part-time scheduling with mileage reimbursement and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-directed.
• Strong communication and basic computer/math skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with a variety of people.
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and walk up to 100 yards on uneven terrain.
• Agriculture or sales experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with agricultural producers by phone and in person.
• Collect accurate information about crops, livestock, and farming operations.
• Conduct crop counts and observe crop conditions in designated corn and soybean fields.
• Enter information accurately using a company-provided electronic device.
• Track work hours, mileage, and completed assignments.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow NASDA data-security policies.
• Communicate professionally with producers and community members.
