Job summary

A national agricultural organization is seeking a part-time field enumerator in Cherokee County, Iowa. This role requires conducting surveys with agricultural producers, collecting and entering data, and performing crop counts in designated fields. Candidates should have proficiency in computer systems, a personal vehicle for travel, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Starting pay is $17.75 per hour with mileage reimbursement. On-the-job training is provided, and a background check is necessary.

Qualifications

• Private workspace with a functional telephone and minimal distractions.
• Personal vehicle for travel related to field duties.
• Flexible schedule may include evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 lb.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth interview surveys with agricultural producers.
• Collect accurate, unbiased data and enter it into systems.
• Report daily progress, time, and mileage.
• Perform crop counts in designated fields.

Skills

Proficiency in computer systems and/or iPads

Experience in a deadline-driven environment

Basic math skills

Prior experience in sales or agriculture
