Part‑time Faculty: School Psychology

Location: Remote, USA

Position Summary

The Department of ASPEC-ABA, School Psychology, and Ed Counseling, in the Sanford College of Education at the National University invites applications for part‑time faculty in School Psychology. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university's diverse adult student body. This position works closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.

If a candidate's school psychology credential was issued by a state other than California, candidates selected for hire must obtain a California Commission on Teacher Credentialling (CCTC) Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential within one year of hire.

Essential Job Duties
  • Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student‑centric learning environment.
  • Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.).
  • Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
  • Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
  • Identify at‑risk students and collaborate with student services.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in the field of school psychology/psychology from a regionally accredited university.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a practicing, credentialed school psychologist.
  • Current, state‑issued credential in school psychology.
  • If credential was issued by a state other than California, candidates selected for hire must obtain a California Commission on Teacher Credentialling (CCTC) Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential within one year of hire.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with the following assessments: Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children® Fifth Edition (WISC®-V), Wechsler Individual Achievement Test® | Fourth Edition (WIAT-4), Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement Third Edition (KTEA™-3), Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children | Second Edition Normative Update (KABC™-II NU), Woodcock-Johnson® V (WJ V™).
  • Experience with iPad administration of assessments.
  • Available to teach Saturday Zoom Residency courses.
Preferred
  • 2 years of higher education teaching experience.
  • Terminal degree in Psychology.
