Purpose of Position: The department seeks to create a database of qualified part-time instructors for engineering technology courses. This posting does not correspond to a specific position; applications will be used to build a pool of potential instructors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Creating syllabi and lab schedules in consultation with course coordinators and instructors
• Setting up and taking down lab equipment
• Supervising and guiding students during labs
• Grading student work and entering grades in Canvas
• Creating course syllabi and schedules that meet learning objectives
• Coordinating with lab instructors on schedules and grading expectations
• Holding scheduled classes
• Assigning and grading homework and exams
• Reporting attendance and submitting grades on time
• Being available one hour per week outside scheduled class times for student questions

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• At least 18 graduate credit-hours in engineering, engineering technology, or related fields, or equivalent work experience
