National University invites applications for part-time Health Services faculty in the Department of Leadership, Management, and Human Capital. This remote USA role supports the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology and engages adult learners across diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate will hold a Doctoral degree in Health Services or related field, with 3–5 years of higher education teaching, and experience with doctoral committees and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Health Services or related field from a regionally accredited university.
• 3–5 years of higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Experience serving on doctoral dissertation committees preferred; dissertation chair experience preferred.
• Ongoing scholarly activity (peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, etc.).
• Professional health services certifications (e.g., FACHE, CMM, CPH, CPHRM) preferred.
• Online doctoral teaching experience and expertise with qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research.

Responsibilities

• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
• Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals).
• Maintain professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
• Provide feedback to the course lead regarding course content.
• Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.

Position Summary

The Department of Leadership, Management, and Human Capital in the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology at National University invites applications for part-time faculty in Health Services. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of, or potential for, excellence in teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. This position primarily works closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.

Preferred:

• 3-5 years of higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Experience serving on doctoral dissertation committees preferred. Dissertation chair experience, evidence of ongoing scholarly activity (e.g., peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, scholarly research), experience mentoring doctoral students, professional health services certifications (e.g., FACHE, CMM, CPH, and CPHRM), online doctoral teaching, and experience with qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
