Job summary

Menlo Church is seeking a Part-time Facilities Technician to join our Central Facilities team. This hands-on role focuses on construction repair, preventive maintenance, safety, and vendor coordination, with 20–29 hours per week.

You will work as a primary contractor alongside staff and volunteers, lifting up to 50lbs, and developing volunteers while upholding church values and safe work practices in a dynamic campus environment.

Qualifications

• Recruiting, training, and developing volunteer teams.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled labor for low-to mid-level construction repair and maintenance.
• Oversee all preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance projects.
• Ensure the safety of facilities and safe work practices by staff and volunteers.
• Research, select, and work with vendors for medium-size construction projects.
• Mentor Facilities Project Manager in trade areas when available.
• Support janitorial and grounds duties as needed.
• Gather volunteers and equip them for ministry; lead and develop volunteers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Facilities Manager.
