Job summary

Education Service Center Region 13 is seeking a Maintenance Specialist Adjunct for a part-time role (<20 hours/week) at an hourly rate of $25.00. This role supports building safety, cleanliness, and efficient operation in our facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED preferred (or relevant work experience), Texas driver’s license, and ability to perform maintenance tasks with safety and accuracy. Applicants should be capable of independent and team-based work in a school environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or appropriate work experience.
• Texas driver's license and insurability required.
• Motor vehicle records clearance required.
• Good employment history in hospitality, construction and/or building maintenance.
• Experience working independently and following directions.
• Experience in self-directed work.
• Experience with deliveries and handling materials.
• Ability to understand and communicate safety instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13 in interactions with the public.
• Coordinate and assist in daily/weekly maintenance activities to ensure comfort, health, and safety.
• Inspect building and grounds and coordinate repairs.
• Report unsafe conditions and escalate as needed.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, supplies, and parts.
• Coordinate setup/breakdown of classrooms and meeting rooms.
• Assist with equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical tasks.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment as required.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with project work.
• Drive company vehicle for pickups and deliveries.
