Job summary

Centro de la Familia de Utah is seeking a Custodian to perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance at the Head Start Center. The role runs 28 hours per week, 7:00 a.m. to 12:36 p.m., with responsibilities including bathrooms, floors, windows, and orderly disinfection to ensure a safe, sanitary environment.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be able to lift 50 lb, and ideally have custodial experience. First Aid/CPR certification is required or could be obtained.

Qualifications

• High School/GED; Able to read and write English
• Able to lift 50 lb.
• Custodial experience desirable
• Employment physical and TB test
• Current First Aid and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms daily
• Replenish tissue and paper towel dispensers
• Empty trash from classrooms and offices daily
• Clean inside windows monthly; outside windows twice per program year
• Dust mop, wet mop and vacuum floors daily
• Strip and wax hard floors when needed
• Steam clean carpet areas seasonally
• Order custodial supplies with approval
• Dust and remove cobwebs weekly
• Replace light bulbs as needed
• Assist with grounds maintenance and minor repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned
