Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean stores and facilities in Shoreline, WA. The role focuses on restroom cleaning, dusting, trash removal, and supporting event setups in classrooms and meeting spaces.

You'll operate standard cleaning equipment, follow safety procedures for chemicals, and participate in annual safety training. The position offers a stable schedule and contributes to a welcoming, safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: None.
• Essential Physical Abilities: Lifting 30–40 pounds; standing for long periods; climbing ladders; bending and kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, dust and wipe furniture, empty wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences etc.
• Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Use and maintain power equipment and hand tools (buffers, vacuums, brooms, mops, squeegees).
• Follow safety instructions regarding chemicals and supplies.
• Perform cleaning and related tasks including snow/debris removal near building areas.
• Report hazards and participate in annual safety training.
