Job summary

Scheels is seeking a part-time Cleaning Associate in Rochester, MN to help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, restocking supplies and responding quickly to spills. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (or up to 3 months of experience) and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule varies between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with some weekend work; starting wage is $19+ per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and/or 1–3 months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuum, mop, sweep, clean, and empty waste baskets.
  • Clean windows and doors.
  • Restock cleaning supplies and restroom items.
  • Operate commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Answer and respond to phone calls, such as spills, wet floors, and general clean-up.
  • Pick up trash in the parking lot and around the outside of the store.
  • Sanitation of the facility restrooms and their fixtures.
  • Report any needed repairs to the supervisor, including but not limited to leaky faucets, toilets, loose tiles, or broken fixtures.
  • Maintain a high attention to detail, ensuring all areas of the property are clean and meet Scheels' expectations for appearance.

Starting at $19+/hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evening, weekends, and holidays, must be available a minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week is 20 hours.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
