Cadia Healthcare in Millsboro, DE is seeking a Part-Time Experienced Skilled Nursing Home Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals according to dietary plans, ensure safety and sanitation, and support resident wellbeing.

The cook will follow recipes, maintain HACCP records, and operate kitchen equipment in a safe, efficient manner. Previous nursing-home cooking and ServSafe familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food handling, preparation and service.
• ServSafe certified; and ServSafe Allergens certification recommended.
• Knowledge of local and state health and sanitation and safety codes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems as assigned by the Food Service Director.
• Determines & ensures availability of supplies & food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation.
• Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Maintain HACCP logs and daily production records
• Follow safety regulations and precautions at all times, cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation, observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.
