The Village of Savoy Fire Department is accepting applications for Part-Time Experienced positions in Savoy, IL. The role focuses on emergency response, training, and teamwork, with a schedule that supports 12-hour shifts and community service.

Strong candidates will meet the listed qualifications and readiness to contribute to public safety. Compensation starts at $16.00 per hour, commensurate with certifications, and the village offers free individual recreation center membership.

Formación

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess, and subsequently maintain, a valid Illinois driver’s license
• Be a United States citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
• Successfully pass a criminal background investigation
• Successfully pass a medical evaluation (NFPA 1582 compliant)
• Successfully pass a physical ability/agility assessment
• Basic Operations Firefighter certification or Firefighter II certification with the ability to obtain Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal Basic Operations Firefighter certification within 6 months of hire
• Three or more years of experience in a public, private, or federal fire department
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
