Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a reliable Environmental Services Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This part-time, on-site role supports patient care and safety through meticulous cleaning and adherence to protocols.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in EVS or similar, along with strong attention to detail and teamwork. High school diploma preferred; ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 2+ years EVS or similar experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow direction.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, common areas, and specialty areas following hospital protocols.
• Stock and maintain EVS carts with required supplies for daily assignments.
• Transport soiled linen, trash, and biohazard materials to designated areas.
• Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment, reporting any issues.
• Keep accurate records of completed cleaning tasks.
• Support team members and assist with special projects as needed.
• Adapt to different assignments and areas throughout the shift.
