Job summary

The City of Phoenix is seeking part-time Event Services Workers to support conventions, luncheons, exhibitions, and performances. Duties include setting up/tearing down risers, stages, seating, and table arrangements, along with janitorial tasks.

Work is performed under supervision, with some positions able to work independently as they gain experience. Typical shifts vary and include early mornings and nights; pay starts at $19.93 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to learn the functions of an Event Services Worker.
• Experience and willingness to clean bathrooms, toilets, stalls, sinks, floors, etc.
• Working irregular hours; second/third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required.
• Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds (less than 20 feet).
• All finalists may be subject to a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down riser seats, portable stages, and table arrangements.
• Perform janitorial services and cleaning duties.
• Operate floor machines, ride-on sweepers, and electric carts as needed.
