Job summary

Sussex County Community College in Newton, NJ is seeking a part-time Custodian to join our Facilities team. The role reports to the Custodial Supervisor and involves general cleaning, special project set ups and summer assignments. Evening shifts: Monday–Thursday 5:00pm–9:00pm and Saturday 5:00pm–9:00pm.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. We value reliability, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work with diverse populations;

Qualifications

• Prior custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and special project set ups.
• Setups and break downs of scheduled events per work orders.
• Report supply needs and minor repairs to supervisor.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
