Job summary

Qualifications

• Education minimum High School diploma or equivalent is required. A College level biology or microbiology courses required. Preferred bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology or a related science.
• Preferred Inoculation experience in educational or medical lab

Responsibilities

• Inoculate specimens onto culture media for microbiology analysis.
• Data entry into the LIS for each specimen received.
• Field calls from nursing units, doctor offices, and physicians regarding microbiology.
• Work in environments with exposure to infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, fumes and sharps.
