Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• On the job training provided.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to problem-solve and handle multiple priorities; independent decision making.

Responsibilities

• Handle all food products in compliance with state, local and Center regulations from delivery to service.
• Wash hands and follow FMC hygiene standards before entering and after visiting patient rooms and during tasks.
• Deliver meals to floors during three meal periods and late trays to nourishing units.
• Record temperatures and service times for meal carts; monitor sanitizer concentration and dish machine temps.
• Perform cashiering duties in the Café and maintain cash handling procedures; stock and rotate items.
• Complete patient rounds after each meal period following AIDET protocols.
• Set up work stations, display and serve food items on patient trays or in café; keep area clean.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and report problems to Team Leader or Supervisor.
