Job summary

Newaygo County Careers in Michigan seeks a janitorial aide under the COA Director to maintain a clean, safe environment for staff and visitors. You will perform cleaning tasks in offices and the commercial kitchen, restrooms, doorways, and general areas, following established procedures.

Must be able to work from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and pass background checks and drug screening. Prior cleaning experience is beneficial, and applicants must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently within established procedures and policies.
• Ability to work from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment for staff and visitors.
• Clean environment in the commercial kitchen.
• Trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and surface cleaning.
• Regularly clean and disinfect sinks, faucets, urinals, stools, and other restroom fixtures.
• Restock restrooms with towels, tissue, and soap as needed.
• Clean windows, doors and glass partitions.
• May remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Conduct safety checks to ensure doors and windows are locked and building is secure before departure.
• Dust walls, ceilings, air vents, and light fixtures.
