Job summary

MW_enterprise is seeking a Janitor (Floor Worker) for evening shifts at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The role is part-time with rotating weekends and holidays, offering a starting pay of $21.16 per hour and a schedule of 5:30-10:30pm Tue & Fri, and 6-11pm Mon/Wed/Thu, with rotating weekend/holiday shifts.

Candidates must have floor care experience and supervisor experience, be able to pass a background check and drug screening, and may be required to obtain a government

Qualifications

• Floor care experience is required.
• Supervisor experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops hallways, stairs and offices.
• Empties tenants' waste baskets and dispose the trash.
• Waxes and buffs floors with prescribed buffers.
• Cleans glass and windows.
• Washes walls and other vertical surfaces.
• Performs snow removal if required by contract specifications.
• Polishes kick panels, doorknobs and other fixtures.
• Strips and waxes floors.
• Vacuum rugs.
• Mixes cleaning solutions.
• Maintains issued equipment.
• Notifies supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks.
• Supervises activities of assigned workers on a temporary basis while performing own work.
• Assumes responsibility of crew during the absence of the foreman.
• Performs all other duties assigned by Custodial Foreman
