Job summary

Santa Maria Hostel in Houston, TX is seeking a Part-Time Childcare Provider to offer safe, nurturing care for infants and children in the daycare program during evening and weekend shifts. You will maintain records, complete assessments, and communicate with parents regarding the child's day and needs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related childcare experience or training; a commitment to confidentiality and safety guidelines within our non-smoking

Qualifications

• One to three months of related childcare experience and/or training preferred.
• Must possess basic knowledge and skills related to infant and child care.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies of baby food, infant supplies, and other childcare items for each shift.
• Keeps open communication with parents about child’s care, activities, and needs.
• Completes eight hours of annual training related to child development and safety.
• Documents attendance, activities, socialization, progress, and interactions in the weekly report.
• Completes the Small Talk sheet daily for parent pickup.
• Follows manager and parent instructions on child care.
• Separates and supervises ill children until parent pickup.
• Maintains clean, safe childcare areas per Santa Maria Hostel guidelines.
• Completes accident and incident reports.
