Job summary

The Swing Light Board Operator at Hale Centre Theatre operates ETC Eos lighting consoles for scheduled performances, ensuring the lighting design remains consistent from opening to closing and supporting show integrity and safety during operations. This role requires reading lighting plots and paperwork, performing pre-show and post-show checks, and troubleshooting console, DMX, and fixture issues.

Flexibility for nights, weekends, and rehearsals is essential to meet production needs.

Qualifications

Comfortable operating ETC Eos-family lighting consoles and understanding lighting plots.
Familiarity with lighting control systems and paperwork.
Strong communication and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

Operate the lighting console for performances, rehearsals, and production calls.
Execute the established lighting design and cues consistently throughout a production run.
Complete all pre-show, half-hour, and post-show checks and duties.
Read and understand lighting plots, Lightwright paperwork, cue information, and other show documentation.
Troubleshoot console, fixture, DMX, wireless, LED, and show-specific lighting issues and communicate unresolved problems.
Maintain clear communication with Stage Management, the Lighting Supervisor, and the lighting team during show operation.
