Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership seeks an experienced individual to teach English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) classes and/or Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes in New York. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and some teaching experience, preferably in ESOL. Responsibilities include delivering lesson plans, maintaining documentation of student progress, and collaborating with the instructional team. Familiarity with underserved communities and bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Teaching experience in ESOL and/or ABE/HSE is preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred or required based on program needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students in ESOL or ABE classes.
• Deliver lesson plans and adapt curriculum as needed.
• Maintain documentation of student attendance.
• Communicate student progress to the Program Coordinator.

Skills

Teaching experience in ESOL and/or ABE/HSE

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to create an engaging learning environment

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Education
