Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Teaching, or related field preferred.
• Valid Teaching Credential, including English learner authorization, required.
• Experience in giving presentations and speaking to multiple education levels.
• Bi-lingual Spanish speakers preferred.
• 1+ year working with students as a teacher or teaching assistant preferred.
• Knowledge of state standards and learning frameworks.
• Knowledge of child development and learning styles.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data.
• Willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Educates students by planning and developing courses aligned to curriculum guidelines.
• Tailors instruction for varying academic levels and abilities.
• Develops and presents lesson plans using varied techniques and resources.
• Monitors and evaluates student progress; assigns and corrects work.
• Engages families to develop English skills supporting student success.
• Maintains safe, orderly classroom environment and records.
