Job summary

Rowan University in Stratford, NJ seeks a Part-Time Environmental Services Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive campus environment at the Stratford or Sewell locations. The role is 20 hours per week with shifts that may vary; starting pay is $17.96 per hour with a probationary rate, rising to $18.59 after six months.

Applicants should have English proficiency and a NJ driver’s license; prior institutional environmental services experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to carry out the duties of the position.
• Prior experience in institutional environmental services is preferred.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs proper cleaning to insure cleanliness of the assigned areas.
• Performs routine and general cleaning to prevent the spread of infection and keeps areas orderly and attractive.
• Performs isolation cleaning procedures as instructed to prohibit the spread of infection.
• Renders moving services throughout the University.
• Performs daily collection, storage and disposal of various waste generated within the University.
