Job summary

Hazelwood School District's Southeast Middle School in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking an Enrichment Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, federally funded role will provide enrichment programming one day per week throughout the school year.

The teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, maintain records, and communicate objectives clearly to students and parents. The position reports to the Principal and is paid from Title I funds with no benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teaching Certification.
• Experience in delivering rigorous, interactive lessons.
• Ability to work with colleagues, parents, administrators, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and discretion/compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Instruct weekly enrichment sessions.
• Plan enrichment activities meeting student needs and abilities.
• Create a conducive, age-appropriate classroom environment.
• Prepare lesson plans and provide documentation when requested.
• Communicate objectives to students and monitor progress.
• Maintain records and reports as required by law and policy.
• Coordinate with admins/volunteers and supervise aides when necessary.
