Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an English Tutor for the Canton Campus/Online to support students in English both in person and through online platforms. The role is part-time with potential start in the following semester and requires effective communication and customer service.

Tutors will work under the Director of Academic Success, with telework up to 30% of a 19-hour week, and will be paid $15.00 per hour. Normal Canton Academic Success Center hours apply.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a discipline area or closely related field.
• Experience as a tutor or teacher is required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in English in person and via Microsoft Teams.
• Support the Academic Success Center during Canton campus hours.
• Assist and review students’ English assignments each term.
